Setting Up Your Power Mac G5 Your Power Mac G5 is designed so that you can set it up quickly and start using it right away. Follow the steps on the next few pages to set up your Power Mac G5. Before you begin, remove any protective film from the outside of your computer and from the inside of the side panel.
The Power Macintosh G5 shipped from 2003 until 2006. All models pack 64-bit PowerPC 970 (G5) processors in an easy-to-upgrade aluminum tower case design with a single external optical drive bay.
